Dear Diary - Excerpts from the Journal of Rev Josiah Dodds

Today, instead of a write up I'm going to post a letter written by my 3x great grandmother, Isabelle Torrence Dodds in 1898. It includes several excerpts she copied from the Journal of her late husband, Rev Josiah Dodds. Josiah, who had died the year before, was a Reformed Presbyterian pastor and the founding pastor of the Winchester Reformed Presbyterian Church. I've done a fairly extensive write up on Josiah on wikitree. Isabelle wrote this for an anniversary of the  church's founding, describing the early days of the church. The church recently celebrated their 150th anniversary and this letter, again came to light. One of my cousins, who was able to attend, kindly sent me these pictures.
